At the ATTA World Summit in Namibia and as a fellow participant of a study-tour/exchange between various Namibian tribes and leaders of the World Indigenous Tourism Alliance, I was able to watch Kristen work in the field. I worked side-by-side with her in remote villages in Africa documenting the Mafwe Tribe of northeastern Namibia (Zambezi region), and the San Bushmen Tribe. Kristen is totally at ease with persons of all ages and backgrounds and I was impressed with her ability to win trust and break down defenses or shyness so that stories emerged authentically and naturally.
